Leftist Mistakes
The elitist intellectuals of this country would have you think that this country is run by a pack of humorless racist scumbags. But I was watching Kath & Kim last night - which, incidentally, is one of the highest rating shows on television - and not only did they mention Alexander Downer, but also Peter Costello and Tony Abbott.
As many of you are aware, Kath & Kim is written and performed by Gina Riley and Jane Turner - two gifted, funny and thoroughly modern women. If, as those ignorant left-leaning university educated snobs keep insisting, the women of Australia object to Tony Abbott's thoughts on abortion, is it really feasible that these two award winning writers would dedicate over forty seconds of dialogue to someone like Tony Abbott, whose views on abortion apparently "offend" women? I think not.
Kylie Minogue began her career on Neighbours back in 1986. After a few years on the soap, she became a pop singer and almost instantly became an international success. Why? Because the Australian people - the supposedly "racist", "ignorant" and "homophobic" public (if you believe the elitist intelligentsia) - have thrown their support behind her. But wait - don't homosexuals like her? Don't Asians like her? If Australians really are as horrible as the brown shirt wearing facists would tell us we are, why would we continually buy her albums when it's well known that gays AND Asians enjoy her music?
Once again, the bigoted, arrogant left have proven without a doubt that not only have they got their facts completely wrong, but they're pushing us into the abyss of despair rapidly.

Were we watching the same program Andrew? What part of the satire didn't you get. Ignorance doesn't even to begin to describe it you idiot! The characters they were playing were a couple of toffee nosed snobs, of course they are going to have the hots for Abbott, Costello and Downer. That was the point - you missed it completely. And the connections you try to make between gays and asians liking Kylie and the arrogant left somehow missing this point - Jesus what drugs are you on!!!! As a gay man who doesn'tparticularly love Kylie but certainly 'gets' her appeal to gay's and Asians and as part of what you would call the arrogant left as well these connections seem completely unhinged, misplaced....whatever point you are tring to make here you sure as hell aren't making it.
Right at the bottom of the blog, there is a note that says:

This could be the best blog on the net. Art imitating life, far too close for mine.
i like it, scary and very close to the real trhing. it appals me that this country is so intellectually bankrupt that it accords the words of the "real" bolt with the level of respect ity does. nasty , odious little man that he is : why doesn't he just go to the US to live in communal splendor with his compadres , sean hannity and rush limbaugh
